Bachelor of Arts (Vocational Study) in Tourism Management

Bachelor of Arts (Vocational Study) in Tourism Management is a 3-year undergraduate course designed for students who wish to make their career in Tourism Industry. This course is designed for those students whose interest to study travel and tourism management in detail.

The Eligibility criteria for applying to this course is 10 + 2 or Higher Secondary from any recognized board. Admission to the course is generally merit-based. Candidates need to score minimum qualifying marks for getting admission into any of the recognized universities for pursuing the course.


It is of great importance since the sector needs smart, young personalities who can handle their firm in a positive stride. After Completion Courses in B. A in Travel and Tourism Management, students can become Travel Agents, Tour Guides, Airline staff, Travel Executive and can opt for many other job roles. The course fees range between INR 30,000 to 1 lakh for the total duration. The probable salaries offered to successful postgraduates in this field are between 3-7 lacs per annum.

PATA वार्षिक शिखर सम्मेलन 2020 रद्द विश्व स्तर पर COVID-19 के प्रसार की गतिशीलता  बढ़ने के  कारण  Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) ने  Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) में 31 मार्च से 3 अप्रैल 2020 तक होने वाले अपने वार्षिक शिखर सम्मेलन को रद्द करने की घोषणा की है। डॉ. मारियो हार्डी (CEO-PATA) ने घोषणा की, कि Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), UAE  द्वारा आयोजित   शिखर सम्मेलन 2021 में  आयोजित किया जाएगा।

 मुंगपू - हिमालयी पहाड़ी क्षेत्र के दार्जिलिंग जिले में, सिलीगुड़ी से 52 किमी की दुरी पर स्थित एक गाँव, जिसे "मंगपू सिनकोना प्लांटेशन" के नाम से भी जाना जाता है, अपने विशिष्ट वनस्पतिये पौधों " सिनकोना " और नोबेल पुरस्कार विजेता कवि "रवींद्रनाथ टैगोर" के प्रवास के लिए प्रसिद्ध है, एक ऑफबीट पर्यटन स्थल (Offbeat Tourist Destination) है।                  कुनैन (जीवन रक्षक मलेरिया-रोधी दवा) का उत्पादन  दक्षिण-पश्चिमीअमेरिका का एक देश, पेरू(In Ancient time known as Inka Empire) के लोग यह जानते थे कि एक पेड़ की छाल में मलेरिया को ठीक करने का चमत्कारी गुण होता है। "कार्ल लिनिअस" ने 1742 में सिनकोना के वानस्पतिक जीनस की स्थापना की। कलकत्ता में "रॉयल बॉटनिकल गार्डन" के अधीक्षक डॉ थॉमस एंडरसन ने दार्जिलिंग हिल्स में सिनकोना की खेती के लिए अपना प्रायोगिक परीक्षण शुरू किया और 1862 में व्यावसायिक खेती के लिए मंगपू पहाड़ियों का चयन किया। मंगपू (MANGPU) में सिनकोना वृक्षारोपण की सफल स्थापना के बाद, इसे मुनसोंग (MUNSONG), रोंगो(RONGO), लतपंचर(LATPANCH
